Mastodon *does* have an algorithmic feed if you want one. It’s identified by different names in different clients but “Trending” is usually part of the name. I think it works well, hit the “Trending posts” and “Trending links” (called “News” in the Masto web client) once a day or so to get a feel for what’s happening in the world.
As with many other things, PhanPy is really good at presenting this stuff..

There is still not full consensus on that what is happening is in fact happening.

Despite what some, including at DHS, are claiming, this video isn’t from a year ago in Chicago. It was Friday in Hoffman Estates, in my district, a street I’ve walked myself. It appears to show a child being violently detained by ICE. It’s real, and I’m demanding accountability.

Something different seems to be happening on here. In the afternoon my timeline is filled with North American stuff. Odd because I follow very few from there.
I prefer mornings when they are asleep.
