A cropped image of a drawing for Monster Prom 2.
On the left is a robot with a monitor for a head. The monitor has : 0 on it.
Next is a large blue demon with with horns. They're wearing a cropped hoodie and shorts and have numerous scars. Jam's face has been pasted over their face.
Next is a smaller red demon with horns. One of their horns is broken. They look very angry.
The blue demon has their arms around the shoulders/necks of the robot and the red demon.

Thinking about the possibility of getting killed by an escaped zebra

Meme with two different skeleton reactions, one angry and one happy. The angry skeleton is next to the text "This will look good on my resume". The happy skeleton is next to the text "This will look good in my obituary

Last time I reported an earlier version as a scam, FB reply was "meets our standards". I don't click as I have no idea what is running, and I suspect the questions would be of a type you use as a security question.

FB scam that you can get a Dell laptop just by answering a couple of questions.

Ah, a Lactationally-Transmitted Infection (or disease). LTI (or LTD)
statnews.com/2024/04/30/h5n1-b

So what is the main driver of infection among cows?

While the contribution of respiratory transmission is still in question, there appears to be little doubt that a lot of spread is happening in milking parlors, where cows are strapped into the milking machines, and that in dairy cows, H5N1 seems to be primarily infecting mammary glands. The amount of virus in the udders of infected cows is off-the-charts high, making it easy to see how one cow’s infection soon becomes a herd’s problem.

This.
One wonders how the tech bro bullshit will integrate with Apple's brand, and to what degree Apple is opening itself up to an endless series of public headaches.
One also wonders if this is the first sign of the giant corporation having Blackberried itself, becoming too insular, focused for too long on optimizing the product line etc., opening the door to being disrupted.

How can we evaluate the factual accuracy of long answers from LLMs? Researchers from DeepMind / Stanford demonstrate a strategy that uses LLMs search to assess factuality: it's more accurate than human evaluation and 20x cheaper. h/t Marc Lanctot on Threads arxiv.org/abs/2403.18802

Illustration dramatizing a strategy that breaks a long answer into sentences, checks each sentence for relevance, and then uses search to check the relevant sentences for factual accuracy.

Finally we have a CLI to definitively answer whether something is a web site or a web app: github.com/Y2Z/monolith
See if you can tell which is which (bonus points if you can guess which HTML file is 9.6MB and which is 703KB)

A scan of a 1946 introduction to radio amateur rules, the page is yellowing and there's a lot of text. For example it tells you to use the signal "de" and the call sign of the answering station three times.
