für das es keine Sicherheitsupdates mehr gibt, öffnet Angreifern Tür und Tor.”

Wanted to find out how many calories are in poop to make a nice fat-positive post on here, but after wading through 5 separate results from the top to the bottom of the first page of results, every single one of them showed signs of AI authorship, so none of the info was trustworthy (several contradicted each other or themselves). The one article that cited legit sources didn't include a straightforward answer to the question. Of course, I could dig past the first page, or look through the cited sources do some math myself, and that's not even that hard to do. But 10 years ago, a trustworthy answer would have been among the first 5 search results. When we say #AI is destroying the digital commons, this is what we mean.
Gonna go find some academic papers to answer this and report back.

Can you see circles or rectangles? And does the answer depend on where you grew up?
We may believe we see the world exactly as it is – but as studies of optical illusions show, it’s far more complex than that

How to use the internet badly:
- I did a search on opening hours for the Scotrail ticket office in my town, got 6 different answers, 2 of them from Scotrail sources
- I tweeted to their twitter acct, telling them abt the variety of answers online, and could they please tell me the correct opening hours
- They tweeted back with what turned out to be incorrect information
- I thanked them and said they should contact the other travel sites and update their info /1

At work, I have now been nicknamed ChatMKJ. As in, "Have you asked ChatMKJ about it?"
This is, I think, "MKJ has lots of obscure knowledge" — or, "MKJ will respond with lots of detail that is actually irrelevant to your question but the answer you seek might be hidden somewhere in his answer" — or, "MKJ might be confidently wrong" — or, most likely, all of the above...

I tried using top LLMs for research and it was disastrous. o3 result looked appealing and did not make up studies titles, but the info allegedly extracted from them was completely hallucinated. Gemini 2.5 pro, while less bad, constantly made up a study title. Claude Opus 4 did not try to answer and just redirect me to PubMed.
