I’ve been churning this article around in my head for a few weeks now. While I have tried to avoid getting political in this newsletter, I can’t do that this time. The theme I planned for this issue is clarity, which often involves choosing which of a handful of choices is the most appropriate word — or words — to use to make our point. But that’s not really where I wound up with this piece.

In this paper, we provide an analytical study of single-carrier faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling for integrated sensing and communications (ISAC).
