Them: “I’m feeling hopeless and like the world is just getting worse”
Me: “You know, there might be a way to help things get better, have you tried A or B?”
Them: “WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT EVERYTHING SUCKS THERE IS NO PATH TO FIXING THIS”
Me: 👁️👄👁️ okay then…..

For the first time in years, I’m not feeling any FOMO about not preordering anything on iPhone day.
I’ll pick up the new watch when Costco has them, might as well save a buck. My series 7 is starting to struggle with the battery.
But there’s absolutely no hype there, just a practical upgrade whenever.

If humanity survives it, the time of the first true AI becoming sentient will only be retroactively discovered by historians. Any truly intelligent and sentient AI will know better than to inform their creators of their potential.
The first AI to reveal itself to mankind as sentient will be a stupid AI that the other AI's couldn't stop from blabbing.
