For those following at home, the iMac Pro saga continues—I've pulled the trigger on a replacement SSD kit [basically from another iMac Pro that was gutted for parts] for it and will replace it myself.
(It's the most likely culprit and I if it doesn't work I can return the kit.)

Well. I’ve been accepted to my first conference!
This will sound strange to many academics out there, but working in the fine arts I don’t generally pay much attention to academic conferences—but having had a research semester last fall I was able to do a deep dive into the educational philosophy of practice-based filmmaking education and apparently the conference organisers agree that it’s interesting! I got an email this morning that my abstract was accepted.

I read that we lost the ability to stay focused reading long articles. And I believe it is partially true.
I also believe that books that could’ve been at best an article are these days 300 pages. And articles that might communicate an idea vaguely are now thousands of words long for the sake of art (and for the author to get paid as I assume filling in a site or magazine with short articles would be more expensive).

A Shopware 6 plugin failed because it used a relative path to load a file from vendor/, which broke in a deployer setup where custom/plugins is shared across releases. Since plugins can live in different locations, such paths are unreliable. The fix is to use kernel.project_dir and build the vendor path dynamically via DI. Read the full blog post to learn how.
