The University of Oklahoma has fired an instructor who was accused by a student of religious discrimination. The complaint from 20-year-old junior Samantha Fulnecky was over a failing grade on a psychology paper in which she cited the Bible and called promoting a belief in multiple genders “demonic.” The university said Monday that its investigation found that the graduate teaching assistant had been arbitrary in giving Fulnecky zero points on the assignment. Een flinke tegenvaller voor Nederlandse boeren. Zij hoeven niet te rekenen op een nieuwe uitzondering op de Europese mestregels. Demissionair landbouwminister Femke Wiersma had daartoe een verzoek ingediend bij Eurocommissaris Jessika Roswall, maar dat is afgewezen. Dat meldt de BBB-bewindsvrouw aan de Tweede Kamer. "Ik vind dit besluit van de Europese Commissie zeer teleurstellend", schrijft zij.

Selected a #hiking route for tomorrow.
Just reminded myself to check the avalanche status... Selected another route...
Maybe overcautios - but my route would go over a larger alpine meadow. Even though I'd go via a south flank that is mentioned with less risk - when I'm going alone, I prefer zero risk.
