Verizon didn't even bother to seal up the hole. Just drilled a hole in the brick, ran the fiber through, and left a welcome mat for any ants (or other insects) and water to come right in. I fucking hate cable and telephone companies.

Close-up on a brick wall. A hole with white fiber-optic cable is coming through. Below it, the brick dust from the newly-created hole. There's no caulk or anything filling the hole, just the cable going into it (which is like 1/10th the diameter of the hole).
The other side of the brick, showing the hole with the fiber optic cable and no caulk or other sealant. A flashlight is shining next to the hole so you can see stuff.
Same (opposite) side of the brick, but this time without the flashlight. You can see the white cable, and where the cable goes into the hole you can see daylight shining through the other end.

The president of Glendale Community College was pelted with a chorus of furious boos
after an AI tool tasked with reading graduating students’ names completely flunked the assignment.
As local outlet AZFamily reported, students and families at the Phoenix-area school were left disoriented when the names being read over the ceremony’s loudspeakers failed to match those of the students actually walking across the stage.

Sources say Anthropic struggles to communicate effectively with the Trump administration; an official says it "screwed us" after failing to "honor" a cyber EO (Axios)

I would go as far as to say maybe just don't retweet Elon Musk at all,
but what do I know?
I'm not the vice president of communications for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Tyler Barnes is, and on Tuesday he popped onto Twitter after a two-year hiatus to weigh in on British politics
by retweeting Elon Musk's white genocide propaganda.

Ireland’s basic income for artists
has been made permanent
after research showed that it boosted the economy.
Other nations have similar schemes.
With more homegrown artists now coming from privileged backgrounds
and AI disrupting the creative industries,
there are calls for the UK to follow suit
