I should probably take a break as the holidays approach. As they say "All work and no play make jack a dull boy"

Kender I podcasten The Europeans?
“So go get your beautifully designed copies of the European Review of Books or even take out a subscription if you're feeling generous.

To be clear, this is #ICE killing another person. They way they terrorize and disappear people, it is only natural to run from them.
"Ellis also pointed out that local law enforcement agencies in Chatham County have restrictive chase policies, and would not have been able to take the action ICE did."
"CCPD Chief Jeff Hadley offered his condolences to Davis’ family, say…
I'm trying to convert my mom to @… browser, but it keeps failing. Latest episode:

*Somehow* my mom switched the default search engine to Wikipedia.
Made new test prints on some off-cuts, using a slightly stronger developer solution than usual to see impact on max. depth. The main image (Eagle Creek, Oregon) is using 18% sodium acetate (curve corrected negative), the test strips are of 20% and 15% solutions (both uncorrected). The phone capture doesn't really show the differences too well, but I think I will go for the 18-20% from now on...
(Btw. The original image is here:
Its good to have many tests in your R package, but it can be a pain to debug some failing tests when it happens. {lazytest} for the rescue: only rerun the failing tests, until they pass: #RStats

Just finished "Kirby's Lessons for Falling (In Love)" by Laura Gao. I'd previously read her autobiographical graphic novel "Messy Roots" which was excellent, and this book continues that trend. Yet another complicated look at a Chinese-American immigrant experience, wrapped into a queer romance with a dose of spirituality in there as well. I think the background metaphor of falling is really strong, and gets used in so many senses it's beautiful.

The main characters here are Canadian and American, it seems. And a fringe religious group.
FBI is failing to act. RCMP is failing to act.
