While I'm settling now at home and think about having a walk in the dark to prevent just falling asleep right now - I enjoy the memories from a recent hike.
As you can see at the frosty cross, it was a bit chill. -- Actually .. I'm quite undecicive whether I like summer or winter more? Summer is green and all, but in winter I like the chill and the cold ...
Maybe I don't have to prefer a season? Yes, I guess I just call myself lucky that I can enjoy every season.

A serene and contemplative winter scene unfolds atop a snow-covered mountain peak. The trees create a natural frame, adding depth and a sense of solitude to the scene.

At the summit, a large metal cross stands prominently, its surface lightly dusted with snow. The cross, a symbol of reflection and tranquility, adds a sense of reverence and q…

March 2024:
As rains continue to fill local lakes and reservoirs,
onlookers are eagerly anticipating seeing the water of Napa County’s Lake Berryessa overflow into its funnel-like spillway, dubbed
“the Glory Hole,”
which channels water 200 feet straight down near Monticello Dam and into Putah Creek on the other side.
During these overflows, the water flowing into the hole looks like the drain of a giant bathtub, or a wormhole to another dimension.
For those…

…it’s not even that. It’s just ugly. Bad layouts. Bad margins. Bad proportions. Awkward animations. Flickers and flashes. Content peeking through all the negative space so that the screen is filled with visual noise. It feels designed by committee. It feels pasted together.
The feel of Apple products has covered a lot of ground over the decades. They’ve felt elegant. They’ve felt basic. They’ve felt bauble-y and cute. They’ve felt futuristic. They’ve felt practical. But this is the first time I can recall an Apple product feeling •cheap•.

Mexican President Sheinbaum told reporters on Wednesday they had been unaware of the presence of the two C-I-A employees who died in a car accident during an antidrug operation in Mexico. Sheinbaum has resisted the Trump administration's threats to use airstrikes or ground troops to fight Mexican cartels, and perhaps the C-I-A should use bicycles or walk there because the cars seem to not to like them either.

MS NOW reported on Friday that White House sources believe that Trump is
“getting a little bored” with the Iran war
and “wants to move on” to other initiatives.
MS NOW’s report on Trump’s feelings about the war was echoed by The Wall Street Journal,
which on Thursday reported that the president has told associates that he wants to wrap up the war in the coming weeks and avoid a protracted conflict.
The problem, sources told both MS NOW and the Journal, is that t…

Alex Vindman is not a man to hold a grudge.
Ask him about the bullying, intimidation and retribution meted out by Donald Trump and Maga acolytes following his appearance as a key witness in the first of the president’s two first-term impeachments, and he almost shrugs it off.
“I’m an optimist by nature. I’m more focused on the future than the past, and this idea of vindictiveness or grievance is completely opposite of my personality.
-- Now, accountability is essential …”
