Het Witte Huis heeft een flink bewerkte foto gedeeld van mensenrechtenadvocate en activiste Nekima Levy Armstrong (49). Zij werd afgelopen zondag gearresteerd tijdens een protest tegen immigratiedienst ICE. Op de foto die het Witte Huis heeft gedeeld, is te zien hoe Armstrong hard huilt tijdens haar arrestatie. Op de originele foto is dat helemaal niet het geval.

Dankzij social media ben ik veel nieuwsgieriger geworden naar de achtergrond van taal.
