Serial sexual abuser Donald Trump stopped short of calling on Rep Max Miller to resign Monday,
saying he would “let the families figure that out”.
Asked whether the Ohio Republican should step down following allegations of domestic abuse from his ex-wife, Emily Moreno,
Trump said he has always known Miller as “a good person” and called the situation “a very sad thing.”
The abuse allegations, which include physical abuse of Moreno and their two-year-old daughter,

A temporary pool pump, a replacement pump, some major menu changes, and the beginning of a project I’ve wanted to tackle for years: digitizing my old 8mm home movies.
The first reel dates from 1961 and includes my parents, my infant brother, and several other relatives. I’ve had these films since around 2000, so finally seeing what survived all those years—and seeing some family members who are no longer with us—was pretty special.

Athena apparently knows exactly how many treats she’s supposed to get, while my dad’s old home movies proved a little less cooperative. Between updating my genealogy site and repairing a broken 8mm film, it was a surprisingly busy quiet week.

Meanwhile, I upgraded my genealogy site and managed to break one of Dad’s old 8mm films during digitization. Fortunately, it broke at a splice, and I found a clever way to repair it.

Genealogy is one of those hobbies where one good discovery can keep you motivated for days.
This week I found an 1891 patent by one of my ancestors, uncovered a historic photo I'd never seen before, and ran across some wonderfully odd newspaper stories. I also wrote about digitizing family films, our anniversary, and The Last Ship.
