{purrr} has some lesser known functions that make handling of failing function calls easier: safely, quietly, possibly: #rstats

Wrap a function to capture errors — safely
Creates a modified version of .f that always succeeds. It returns a list with components result and error. If the function succeeds, result contains the returned value and error is NULL. If an error occurred, error is an error object and result is either NULL or otherwise.

In my opinion,
I think there are more happy linux users than windows users in the world.
Most if not all windows users just "tolerate it" but that's far from appreciating it. It's a burden that they learned how to handle.
And this is the biggest reasons for linux to be slowly and steadily growing in market share. The only obstacle is people resisting to change, which with age I've accepted as a respectable feeling.

The treadmill desk is up and running with provisional hardware. Powered by the mini-pc that was lying around mostly unused.
The monitor can be pushed back out of the way to place a laptop on the shelf instead if needing to work on the dayjob's PC, say.
A bit cramped and unsafe feeling. Maybe needs a handle to hold on to screwed onto the door or something.

I wasn’t feeling well this morning so I went into work late… still didn’t feel good after an hour so I went home. I biked both ways.
I’ve wondered how I might handle having to bike home from work if I wasn’t feeling well, but it was fine.
Did I feel great riding? No, but it wasn’t terrible either. Just gonna lie down the rest of the day.
