While staying vigilant, we’re embracing the chance to catch our breath and to start healing. The city right now has a bit of the feeling of the days after a natural disaster: there is so much damage to repair. Thousands of people are still sheltering at home, understandably reluctant to go to work and/or school. Thousands are facing imminent eviction when March rent comes due.
There’s organizing around rent relief, talk of a rent strike. Food delivery is still in full swing. Mutual aid is not letting up.

The media says they’re fleeing a wealth tax. Except, they’re not.
Nary a day has passed of late that hasn’t seen stories about the billionaires’ flight from California, lest they be subjected to a proposed wealth tax that hasn’t yet gathered the required signatures to qualify for the ballot. The fact that there is no billionaires’ flight from California hasn’t impeded the flow of such tales.

Estland is voor Nederland al zo'n 15 jaar lang een voorbeeld als het gaat om digitale overheid. Talloze werkbezoeken zijn er ook al geweest. Zonder iets af te doen aan Estland. Met het continue noemen van Estland als "voorbeeld" wordt het in Nederland niet beter. Het is niet dat we niet weten of snappen wat we moeten doen, we doen het vaak gewoon niet..... #verzuchting
