And once again with #AltText4You.
Why is that one simple link so hard to click?

An image of a BlueSky post by Robert Reich @rbreich.bsky.social reading:

"Search-and-rescue crews were “flying blind" trying to rescue survivors from deadly tornadoes that hit the Midwest last week.

Why? Because Kristi Noem hadn't approved FEMA's $200,000 contract with a tornado-tracking tool.

But she had time to spend $220 million on anti-immigrant ads. Priorities."

A trial date has been set for Trump's $10 billion lawsuit against the BBC.
On Thursday, Judge Roy K. Altman of the Southern District of Florida set a provisional start date of ⭐️February 15, 2027, for a two-week trial.
The lawsuit was filed following the release of an episode from Panorama,

Doin' US taxes again. Super blah without a donut!!
Last year my personal filing was about 200 pages long. (We also do a separate corporate filing.)
And once again my taxes will far, far, far exceed the actual disposable income I have received.
Yes, this is an upper-middle-class, first world problem.. But I do hate paying what amounts to big wads of $$ to pay for El Cheato's destruction of the US.

When the Strait of Hormuz opens up, there will be a lot more interest in getting out of the Gulf than in sailing into it. To get the oil and gas flowing again, you'll need both, though. That will take a while.

In early April I'm flying to Florida to play a show with Steve Augeri, 60m of Journey material.
So, just spent the afternoon watching old live videos, and fuck they were awesome and Neal Schon was a total badass.

An eventful day at the home office so far... just spent the last 20 minutes trying to clean up the mess of pushing bag of besan (chick pea) flour off the top shelf in the pantry, which burst on impact, maximising dispersion on the coffee making stuff & the rest of the pantry. Much blue air was created. But before that had a magical few minutes when a pīwakawaka flew into the house, happily flew around a bit, & happily flew back out again.

Pīwakawaka singing & flying in our kitchen & common area before flying out ... Blinds pulled to help it identify the safe exit...

'Back in the 70's a researcher named Philip Brickman studied lottery winners and found that people who won big were no happier than anyone else within a few months. He called it the "hedonic treadmill." You get the thing, the feeling fades, you chase the next thing.
The Strive is the hedonic treadmill all over again, but it comes with a mandatory pair of white sneakers and a Claude Max subscription.'
