This work investigates the direct magnetoelectric effect in thin-film lab scale composite heterostructures comprising a 100 nm thick piezoelectric Sc0.4Al0.6N (ScAlN) and a magnetostrictive Ni with 100-200 nm thickness, fabricated on Si/SiO2 substrates. In the study of exceptional Dehn fillings, two functions on slopes, called the Euclidean length on a horotorus and the Culler-Shalen norm, play important roles. In this paper, we investigate their relationship and establish two inequalities between them. As a byproduct, some bounds on the boundary slope diameter are given.

Reports of photoluminescence from GeSn grown on Ge substrates by molecular beam epitaxy have been limited.
