this kind of conversation plays out way too often:
Them: “I’m feeling hopeless and like the world is just getting worse”
Me: “You know, there might be a way to help things get better, have you tried A or B?”
Them: “WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT EVERYTHING SUCKS THERE IS NO PATH TO FIXING THIS”
Me: 👁️👄👁️ okay then…..
(Admittedly sometimes I’m playing the role of “them” in this dynamic)

Spotted at the therapist.

A crocheted little creature holding a sign that reads, "Emotional Support Dumpster Fire" with the subtext, "It's fine. I'm fine. Everything is fine!" The creature is vaguely dumpster shaped (kind of roundish actually, but they were going for a cube), orange, with orange little hands holding the sign and grey little round feet. It has a smiley face, and the top of the dumpster is gray with curls of orange crocheted flames coming out of the top left side.

I went to Stewart Park this Sunday after the Ithaca 5 and 10 to make a 3-d scan of the lighthouse on the jetty which didn't work out but I did see these kayakers goings under this bridge.
