To be sure, American capital isn’t abandoning the world outside entirely and Chinese investment continues to be greeted with suspicion in many countries.
There is still a very real gap in the current value, or stock, of all the investments that the US and China have out in the world. At the end of 2024, the total value of US companies’ long-term physical investments overseas was some $6.8 trillion, almost $4 trillion of which was in Europe according to official US data. China’s FDI stock in the…
annual investment in electricity generation rising from just over USD 500 billion over the last five years to more than USD 1 600 billion in 2030, before falling back as the cost of renewable energy technologies continues to decline. Prophet Royal Robertson outside his home (from the documentary Make by Scott Ogden and Malcolm Hearn[1])
In this extract from the film Celestial Knowledge Credo Mutwa speaks about aliens or greys beings known as Mantindane in Africa.
Stories of alien sightings and landings of mysterious aircraft have emerged from Iino as far back as the 1970s. Tsugio Kinoshita, a researcher of unidentified flying objects, said he first saw such an UFO in 1972 at the age of 25.

Kinoshita was hiking a mountain in Fukushima prefecture with four friends when suddenly a saucer-like shape appeared in front of them. “This thing stuck out in front of me. Starting and stopping in the blue sky. Then all of a sudden, it was gone,” he told VICE World …

After some time in preparation, and following an initial attempt to prioritise the allocation of network capacity, the Dutch NRA has now taken a (and this time: own) decision.
Priority for 'congestion softeners', safety, healthcare, housing etc.
officielebekendmakingen.nl/stc<…

Congestive softener
A congestion softener is a party whose network operator, on the basis of the most up-to-date data from Annex 14, paragraph 1, determines that the allocation of transport capacity to this party leads to an increase in the available transport capacity, as referred to in Article 9.5, paragraph 4, for other parties and does not lead to an increase in congestion in another network part of that network operator or in the network of another network operator.

Following federal cuts to history-focused organizations, the president of the Canadian Historical Association, Colin Coates, sent this letter to Marc Miller, the Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture.
One thing might not be obvious: Coates's reference to Carney's recent Quebec City speech suggests Canadians' need for historical context right now. He doesn't agree with Carney's claims. In fact, most Canadian historians would dispute them.

Letter:

Dear Minister Miller,
I am writing to you in my capacity as president of the Canadian Historical Association | Société historique du Canada. The members of our association have been distressed to see the recent news about cutbacks in a number of federal government units that are very important to all Canadians who are interested in the history of our country: Library and Archives Canada, the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum, Parks Canada, and Statistics Canad…
Letter:

While we cannot expect the federal government to address problems at the provincial level, in your role as Minister of Canadian Heritage, we hope that we can count on you to advocate on behalf of all Canadians to maintain and enhance the role of agencies that collect data and records and make them accessible to broad publics. We recognise that the country faces many current challenges, but we do not want short-sighted decisions to have long-lasting effects on the future study of the co…

Berichte aktuell #Kuratiert.

As Trump threatens Iran, Venezuela, Mexico, Greenland and more,
renowned historian Alfred McCoy says the United States is
“an empire in decline,”
following a predictable pattern
of militarism abroad and political instability at home
as it loses power and influence on the world stage.
“American politics become increasingly contorted and irrational,”
says McCoy.
“I think the thing to do is to realize that we are an empire in decline, …
