Bien que des alternatives soient à l'étude en Suisse, les administrations dépendent encore fortement de Microsoft pour leurs outils bureautiques. Selon des calculs de la RTS, les cantons romands dépensent plus de 20 millions de francs au moins chaque année pour des licences du géant américain.
