“on a besoin d’un candidat qui dise au Conseil d’Etat qu’il fait fausse route. C’est un mensonge de répéter qu’on peut baisser les impôts tout en maintenant les prestations. Et Christelle Luisier se trompe en disant que le canton n’a pas de problème de recettes: on a besoin d’une réponse quant aux millions perdus du bouclier fiscal et on a besoin d’un système de solidarité financière”

I do think that this framing isn't fully correct. "Open Source" often has a libertarian (and therefore explicitly non-left) bend. It can be put into left thinking and politics but it works just as well in more right-wing logics. (See Golumbia, Cyberlibertarianism)

This has allowed me to make clear something that's been at the back of my mind. Something that is at the heart of so much blind stupidity in big tech.
It's the assumption that we will change one thing and all else will be the same.
In this case, we will fire lots and lots of employees all over the world and we will make lots of profit. We're smart enough to make the AI, and we're dumb enough to think that there will only be one consequence. 1/n
This Saturday, millions of people are going to say no, and insist that every American has a right to dissent.
It’s going to be big
— there will be enormous rallies in major cities, and smaller but still meaningful ones in towns around the country.
There will be families, and dogs, and people in silly costumes.
They’re going to march, and stand together, and listen to speeches, and hold up signs
Trump and his allies will spin their absurd conspiracy theories,…
Sleepwalking into a fascist hell.
UK now.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but the very idea of Open Source was always a radical left leaning ideological stance.
You're GIVING AWAY labor to the tune of millions of dollars because of some notion that we'd all be better off together if we didn't have to re-write the same dang components over and over again.
Of course members of the Open Source community are going to get political. We always have been.

Unsurprising but bad news, however, the language of this post "this time, millions of Americans like you and I could be the target," stands out to me. What about the people targeted after 9-11 was "not like you and I" (millions of Americans were definitely targeted at that time)?
Seems like we (myself included here) didn't stand up when they came for Muslims, and now we're shocked when they come for us...?
The non-Muslim leftists who *we're* targeted after 9-11 know who they are and were/are doing things right.
Fifa kept the costs of 2026 World Cup tickets under wraps until the very moment of sale,
replacing the usual published table of price points with a digital lottery that decided who even got the chance to buy.
Millions spent hours staring at a queue screen as algorithms determined their place in line.
When access finally came for most, the lower-priced sections had already vanished,
many presumably hoovered up by bots and bulk-buyers (and that’s before Fifa quietly r…
