Me and my new #yubikey5 part 2:
Now we get to the nitty-gritty parts. I'm using #mbsync to sync multiple #imap accounts to local

Screenshot of a terminal in background showing a manual triggering of mbsync with one of my mail addresses, and a GTK window in foreground (pinentry-gtk) prompting me to insert the PIN to unlock my Yubikey to decript the passwords provided by the GPG encrypted password store from pass.
Full-screen terminal window showing the output from `journalctl -n0 -f` when I plug in the youbikey and wait while for the automatic mailsync service to trigger.

The output shows that while the Yubikey is inserted and properly recognized, when mbsyncer starts it asks for the PIN, but directly gets a `PIN callback returned error: IPC call has been cancelled` message, which in turn makes the decription fail, which leads to a skipping of the account in mbsync. And this will continue for the next …

This file lives under: `/etc/udev/rules.d/99-yubikey-unlock.rules`

The Tangerine Tyrant is a clear and present danger to the American People and the national security of the United States.
"The Dutch intelligence services AIVD and MIVD have reduced the amount of information they share with their American counterparts, citing political developments in the United States under President Donald Trump and growing concerns over the politicization of intelligence and 'respect for human rights.'"

Totally behind a paywall but Scott Horton @robertscotthorton.bsky.social summarizes the article as follows: Dutch intelligence suspends sharing arrangements with the US after concluding that high level intel was routinely being shared by the White House with their friends in the Kremlin.

The Dutch energy regulator now formally allows companies to share their combined grid capacity – by sharing generation and consumption in a smart way, they can often expand despite gridlock. From 2027, grid operators will be required to offer such contracts.

«LLMs are copyright removal devices - copy open source (or proprietary!) data into it, and you get copyright free data on the other side that you are free to plagiarize into newly copyrighted works. While this process robs all copyright owners, it is particularly damaging to people involved in sharing communities, since many are particpating not for money but for the love of the game - what librarian Fobazi Ettarh calls “vocational awe”.»
