Man, I'm a sucker for history but this was *fascinating*.
It's shocking how far things fall in America from their apogee. This is close to Gary, Indiana which at one point was the world's biggest manufacturing hub, and now has literal trees growing out of the gorgeous old buildings.
Next time I'm passing that way I'm gonna see if I can find this.
