Are perturbative superstring amplitudes for massless external states just an $α'$ dressing of super-Yang-Mills/supergravity? We study $η$-correction terms in the Kauffman bracket skein algebra of the once-punctured torus $K_t(Σ_{1,1})$. While the Frohman-Gelca product-to-sum rule is explicit on the closed torus, punctures introduce correction terms in the ideal $(η)$ whose structure has resisted systematic description beyond low-determinant cases. In light of recent improvements in the theory of rare earth magnets, as well as the availability of improved neutron powder diffraction data on these materials, we revisit the magnetic single-ion properties of SmCo$_5$ and the magnetic structures of YCo$_5$ and NdCo$_5$. Psyquandle Brackets
We extend the notion of biquandle brackets to the case of psyquandles, defining quantum enhancements of the psyquandle counting invariant for singular knots and pseudoknots. We provide examples to illustrate the computation of these invariants, establishing that the enhancement is proper. We compute a few toy examples, noting that the true power of this infinite family of invariants lies in more computationally expensive larger-cardinality psyquandles and infinite coefficient rings.
