In 2023, Zhang and Zhao presented the first examples of aspherical manifolds lacking the Bounded Index Property (BIP) for fixed points. This answered a question posed by Jiang in 1998 in the negative. On Rapid mixing for random walks on nilmanifolds
We prove rapid mixing for almost all random walks generated by $m$ translations on an arbitrary nilmanifold under mild assumptions on the size of $m$. For several classical classes of nilmanifolds, we show $m=2$ suffices. This provides a partial answer to the question raised in \cite{D02} about the prevalence of rapid mixing for random walks on homogeneous spaces.

We study the holonomy of the Obata connection on 2-step hypercomplex nilmanifolds. By explicitly computing the curvature tensor, we determine the conditions under which the Obata connection is flat, showing that this depends on the nilpotency step of each complex structure. The distribution of symmetry of Lorentzian naturally reductive nilmanifolds
We study $2$-step nilpotent Lorentzian Lie groups $N$, which are naturally reductive with respect to a certain class of transitive subgroups of isometries. We describe the isotropy representation and prove that its fixed points give raise to the distribution of symmetry of $N$. This generalizes some known results for the Riemannian case.
