Compound flood risks from spatially and temporally clustered extremes challenge traditional risk models and insurance portfolios that often neglect correlated risks across regions. Spatiotemporally clustered floods exhibit fat-tail behavior, modulated by low-frequency hydroclimatic variability and large-scale moisture transport.
