In conventional relativistic quantum field theory, the discrete operators C, P, and T are matrix operators with no renormalization scale dependence. However, in a Lorentz-violating theory with a fermion $f^μ$ term in the action, these operators may acquire nontrivial renormalization group behavior. Because the $f^μ$ term may actually be exchanged in the action for an equivalent $c^{νμ}$ term, the scale dependence depends explicitly on the renormalization scheme, even at one-loop order. The …

We summarize how a renormalization-group (RG)-consistent treatment removes well-known artifacts in NJL-model descriptions of color-superconducting quark matter. We introduce two RG-consistent schemes, "minimal" and "massless", and present analytic solutions for the diquark gap at $T=0$ and for the phase boundary $T_c(μ)$ in symmetric massless matter, representing the high-density limit of the model. We investigate the Casimir effect for a massless scalar field confined between two parallel semitransparent mirrors in a vacuum modified by spontaneous Lorentz symmetry breaking. Using Green's function techniques and a point-splitting evaluation of the stress-energy tensor, we compute the vacuum expectation value of the energy density $T_{00}$.
