ArcelorMittal is betting big on India's clean energy future with $900M in new projects.
The steel giant is building a 250MW wind farm, 300MW solar facility, and massive battery storage in Gujarat—cutting 1.59 million tons of CO2 annually. Combined with projects in Brazil and Argentina, they're adding 3.3GW of renewable capacity.

said Ren Brownell, the former spokesperson for the Klamath River Renewal Corporation,
a non-profit created to oversee and implement the removal of four dams on the river.
“They can now carry this momentum to other watersheds,” Brownell said.

Sembcorp just made a major move in India's renewable energy space.
The company acquired a 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan that's already connected to the grid and backed by a 25-year power purchase agreement. This pushes their India renewable capacity past 7.6 GW and their global portfolio to 20.2 GW.

Spain just fired up a biomass plant that fights wildfires while generating clean energy.
ACCIONA Energía's new 50 MW facility in Caceres uses forestry residues as fuel, clearing fire-prone vegetation while producing 380 GWh annually—enough to avoid 187,000 tonnes of CO2.
Beyond energy, it's creating 200 forest management jobs.
