I am very much looking forward to the new European phone requirements to spread to US phones. I'm so tired of phone repairs involving a heat gun and adhesive and a razor blade.

Can someone pay me to pull a David Blaine stunt where you lock me in a room and I can't leave until I finish all the amazing-looking games coming out in the fall?
Between Phantom Blade Ø, Onimusha, GTA 6, Wolverine, and others, I'm not sure I'll ever get through my backlog.
I'm gonna have an aneurysm if I see one more photo of someone in wildfire-smoke affected city that looks like Blade Runner but orange with just a surgical mask. For the love of science, wear a properly fitted N95 or better and DO NOT GO OUTSIDE AT ALL.
I absolutely had not connected this quote from Pluribus to “AI”

“#Tradition is peer pressure from dead people.” A trite enough joke, but true. I’m reading “The Last Neanderthal” by Ludovic Slimak. He thinks he’s found small bits—some teeth and some finger bones—of what may be, if not the last, then one of the last, of the Neanderthal peoples. He has a hell of a time pinning it down. Flint stone blade techniques had discernible styles and progressions that lasted 10s of 1000s of years, because “that’s the way dear departed dad & grampa did it.”

Can someone check this and tell me if it is just me: laying on my cot, staring at my white 5-blade ceiling fan against a white ceiling for some seconds then looking at the white wall there is a counter-rotation illusion, which suggests to me it is a neural effect, not retinal, so I wondered, since the apparent size of the fan is only a bit larger, what would happen if I position the fan in my blind-spot?
It goes crazy!
