Representation of Typical Droplet Shapes in 2D Latent Space
In this study, we investigate the clustering of 5000 droplets, each originating from one of five distinct droplet classes, each representing a unique geometry. The shape coordinates of the droplets are mapped to a 2D latent space through a two-step, fully reversible process involving Fourier series and autoencoders. Thus, each droplet contour sampled by 400 points is represented by 2 scalar numbers. We present data mapping 5000 droplets in two-dimensional space, which reveals ringlike clusters.…

Living Droplets with Mesoscale Swimmers
We study the activity of "living" droplets, which confine 1-6 mesoswimmers in 3D using a superhydrophobic substrate. The swimmers induce oscillations of the droplets at their inherent resonant frequencies, regardless of swimmer size and number. In contrast, the droplet oscillation amplitude is strongly affected by crowding, which we successfully model with a new scaling law and show that crowding reduces the speed of the swimmers. 13 FLUX Standort: Landhaushof Endlich mal was Ordentliches: LED-Stäbe bewegten sich synchron zur Musik mit tollen Effekten.
8 EYE SEE YOU Standort: Orangerie im Burggarten Da hat sich nix bewegt, nur statisches (warmes?) Licht mit Sound. Nach der viel zu langen Warterei und der kaputten Station 7 waren die Menschen hier deutlich enttäuscht und taten das auch tlw. kund.
7 AFTEREAL Standort: Burggarten Blau beleuchtete, horizontal gespannte Fäden vor einer beleuchteten historischen Fassade. Das war offensichtlich kaputt oder nicht eingeschaltet: das Stroboskop machte Kopfweh und es gab die versprochene Bewegung gar nicht. Nur blau beleuchtete gespannte Schnüre.

The Dorabella cipher is an encrypted note written by English composer Edward Elgar, which has defied decipherment attempts for more than a century. While most proposed solutions are English texts, we investigate the hypothesis that Dorabella represents enciphered music.
