I haven't registered quite yet, but I intend to do a half marathon in October this year unless things drastically change health-wise. Part of my motivation is that I fear my health will only allow me so many more running days, seeing the darkness at the end of the light, so to speak.
That said, more runs will be happening to try and prepare for that. The weather is getting a little cooler finally, so I'm outdoors as much as possible.

What I would say to anyone who is on the fence about attending a #NoKings protest tomorrow: You've been wishing all year that there was something you could do. This is something you can do. It's nice if you want to make a sign or put on a costume, but you're not required to do those things. You contribute just by showing up. The only cost is your time. You don't have to have any expertise in protesting. Just listen to the organizers and follow the crowd. You contribute just by showing up. …

Today I learned about Kukur Tihar, a festival day in Nepal where dogs are honored for their loyalty and honesty.
This year it falls on October 19 - I don't have a dog, but I think it is the kind of festival we should adopt.

Being Bandcamp Friday and all, had to grab a couple things. Picked up the new Exorency, Pseudomaimer, and Emphysema (super gross cover on that one) LPs - three artists I really wanted to give some money to, since I've listened to all three of those albums SO MUCH this year.
