I mean, just note that the first and last sentence are clearly contradicting each other.

Google search for "Julian day number 1" returning "The first Julian Day number, JD 1, corresponds to October 15, 1582, the day the Gregorian calendar went into effect. It's an integer representing a full day, with the day beginning at 12:00 UT (Universal Time). The Julian Day system is a continuous counting of days starting from January 1, 4713 BC."
