Hindu temples and patrons too set aside religion, and invited the couple to play. Sringeri Sharada Peetha, a staunchly Hindu monastery, even made them its "Asthana Vidwans" (Scholars of the Institute/Court).
Indian gov also gave them the Padmashri #honor (2020).
