Second big batch of Epstein files includes many mentions of Trump
Three days after releasing a large tranche of Jeffrey Epstein documents that contained few mentions of Donald Trump,
the Justice Department on Monday disclosed thousands more files that included wide-ranging references to the president.

The documents show that a subpoena was sent to Mar-a-Lago in 2021 for records that pertained to the government’s case against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s accomplice in sex …

Donald Trump followed through on his threats to sue the BBC over its editing of his remarks on Jan. 6, 2021, for a documentary.
The following can be attributed to Seth Stern, director of advocacy at Freedom of the Press Foundation (FPF):
“If any ordinary person filed as many frivolous multibillion-dollar lawsuits as Donald Trump, they’d be sanctioned and placed on a restricted filers list.
By my count, Trump has demanded at least $65 billion in damages from media outlets i…

Unfortunately dwl turned out to be in maintenance mode.
Fortunately enough dwm has been out of maintenance mode since 2006.
Dwm is consistently the only thing since 2021 for which I happily return to X11.

Smoker (Berlin Gear)

I have seen a hot Marlboro smoker on YouTube with the screen name SmkrCGN for quite a few years. I have been watching his vids while smoking and stroking as sort of soft porn (when he smokes or smoke-swaps with one of his buddies, you can imagine some "under the table" action through their hand movements.)

BikerBeef (BB, left) was just shy of 6' tall, weight proportionate to height, five years older than BHD, brown eyes, full beard, fuzzy chest, warm smile, cute butt.

With deep sorrow and regret, BB died in January 2021 of pancreatic cancer whose chemo treatment caused kidney failure due to a massive infection that he could not overcome. His last day in our home was Christmas, 2020. I had to transport him to a hospice facility on New Year's Eve. He died five days later.

Since 2011, millions of tons of a brown algae called Sargassum has washed onto beaches in the Caribbean. The rotting seaweed releases toxic hydrogen sulfide, smelling of rotten eggs, impacting tourism and shore access. It was initially thought Saharan iron dust was the cause, but new #science

Big news for the energy transition!
And a nice little 'told you so' moment for yours truly :)
In the first half of this year, renewables produced more electricity globally than coal, for the first time.
And 2025 is the date I predicted for this to happen, back in 2016, in a blog post for Ecofys! The score was 23%-40% at the time, with most of the renewables share still coming from hydro, and the prediction was less than obvious.

Graph showing global electricity from renewables vs coal for H1 of 2019 through 2025, in TWh. Moving from 3400 vs 4500 TWh in 2019 to 5100 vs 4900 TWh in 2025: lines crossing.
My Ecofys blog post of 12 December 2016:
When will renewables overtake coal in generated electricity?

ending in:

The resulting share of renewables in 2015 global electricity production was 23%, according to IEA. For coal this was around 40%. IEA expects the share of renewables to grow at almost 1 percentage point per year, to 28% by 2021, and IEA has a track record of being on the conservative side here. Due to falling costs of wind and solar, and more ambitious policies following the Paris A…
