In a surprising finding, the researchers found that while Greater Sydney's total tree canopy increased by 4.2% from 1.514 billion square meters to 1.578 billion square meters between 2016 and 2022, this growth was not evenly distributed.

I generally hate buying new computing devices and try to make them last as long as possible. I bought a used/refurb iPad 5th Gen in 2022 for $199 and got 2 years of solid use before I upgraded to a 6th Gen in 2024 (for $170) so I could use an Apple Pencil.
I then put the old 5th Gen on my trainer bike as a video player and it still works great.
But sadly, two years in the 6th Gen now has dead spots on the screen. I may need to replace it.

Just found out about the "take" command in Oh My Zsh, and oh my (pun intended) is it useful!
As the name suggests, it's a command that takes you where you want to be, combining multiple tools (e.g. mkdir cd) into one neat little command.
Found a nice article explaining what it does for anyone who's not familiar with it already:

But a quick search doesn't find many news articles - but it appears to be a nationwide problem. Sure, FDA has published their alert (2022) but that's not a great tool to reach people who need to know about risks.
