We present the analysis of a microlensing event KMT-2022-BLG-0086 of which the overall light curve is not described by a binary-lens single-source (2L1S) model, which suggests the existence of an extra lens or an extra source. Way back in 2022, as the world tried to readjust back to "normal" following COVID - I helped to co-organise a bootcamp with sponsorhop from the @… IASC, @… and a generous dollop of help from @… and @… colleagues.
We gathered 10 senior scientist mentors and 22 students in an old torpedo research station (now used by Roskilde University) for 10 days. It was an extremely intense period but the 4th paper produced by this talented group has just come out.
I consider facilitating #EarlyCareerScientists to work on important science problems an extremely rewarding part of my job, and I'm looking forward to the next one already as part of our PISCO project.
In the mean time, go and read this extremely cool work, collecting together a huge number of radiosonde observations going back to the 1950s over the Arctic Ocean and using them to assess how well CMIP6 models represent lower atmosphere.

We improve upon the results presented in [R. Casadio, et al., Phys. Rev. D 105 (2022) 124026] deriving a quantum-corrected Reissner-Nordström geometry containing an integrable singularity at its center while being devoid of spurious oscillations around the classical configuration. We further investigate some relevant physical observables, related to geodesics and quasinormal modes of scalar perturbations, associated with this geometry to complement our theoretical analysis.

We presented at Moriond EW 2025 a measurement of the branching fraction of $B\toτν$ decays using $(387\pm 6) \times 10^6$ $Υ(4S)$ collected between 2019 and 2022 with the Belle~II detector at the SuperKEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. We reconstruct the accompanying $B^-$ meson using the hadronic tagging method, while $B\toτν$ candidates are identified in the recoil. This study presents a novel search for magnetic monopoles using data collected over a 14 year period (2008-2022) by the ANTARES neutrino telescope. The interaction of magnetic monopoles with matter was modeled according to Kazama, Yang, and Goldhaber cross-section.
