A posteriori error bounds for the block-Lanczos method for matrix function approximation
We extend the error bounds from [SIMAX, Vol. 43, Iss. 2, pp. 787-811 (2022)] for the Lanczos method for matrix function approximation to the block algorithm. Numerical experiments suggest that our bounds are fairly robust to changing block size and have the potential for use as a practical stopping criteria. 2003 schloss die EU mit Chile ein sogenanntes Assoziierungsabkommen ab, also ein Handelsabkommen kombiniert mit einem politischen Abkommen. Im Dezember 2022 wurden die Verhandlungen über die Ausweitung dieses Abkommens beendet. Am 29. Februar 2024 soll es im EU-Parlament ratifiziert werden.
Das überarbeitete Abkommen wirkt wie eine Erfüllung der Wunschliste von verschiedenen Lobbies, allen voran der Agrar- und Autolobbys: Es umfasst nun die gesamte Palette des Warenhandels, Dienstleistungen, das öffentliche Beschaffungswesen, Investitionen sowie ein Rohstoffkapitel. Das Abkommen und der gesteigerte Lithium-Abbau würden in keiner Weise zu einer positiven und selbstbestimmten Entwicklung in Chile beitragen - im Gegenteil. Vor allem Agrar- und Autokonzerne würden profitieren.
Aus diesem Grund gibt es breiten Widerstand aus der Zivilgesellschaft und von Bäuer*innen auf beiden Seiten des Atlantiks.
