It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, . . . - for the thermal/suprathermal particle populations in the vicinity of two traveling interplanetary shocks observed by Solar Orbiter on 2023-11-29 07:51:17 UTC and 2023-11-30 10:47:26 UTC at $\sim 0.83$ astronomical units from the Sun. Quasi-periodic pulsations (QPPs) are a common feature of impulsive solar flare emissions, yet their driving mechanism(s) remain unresolved. We study long-period (3.4 min) QPPs in the M3.7 flare on Feb 24, 2023, using SDO/AIA and Solar Orbiter/STIX to pinpoint their source and driver. Owning two Pixel phones running GrapheneOS made me both chuckle and tear up a little. It’s such an amazing operating system that I’m planning to start making monthly donations to support the project.
I had my Pixel 6a since early May 2023, but yesterday I upgraded to a Pixel 9a because the speakers and earpiece microphone on my 6a had started to fail badly, and the battery was showing its age.
I’m glad I made the upgrade, and now people can hear me clearly on the phone again.

Weird how they don’t mention LNG as being a reason why Europe has been able to meet its goals. Almost like renewables are essentially the only way to decarbonize the industry, just like the scientists say it is.

Oh, ich hab gestern übrigens mal wieder 'spaßhalber' eine Anfrage beim #Terminservice meiner #Krankenkasse getätigt bezüglich einer Praxis wegen #ADHS- #Medikation. Im Dezember 2023 wurde ich diagnostiziert und habe seither keine Praxis gefunden. Diesmal gab ich beim Suchradius 80 km an. Und ich wette, spätestens nächste Woche Mittwoch kommt wieder eine E-Mail, es täte ihnen Leid, sie haben nichts gefunden. Wie jedes mal. Aber hey, es gibt hier keine "Unterversorgung"...
Edit (Mi. 23.04.): Gerade eben kam die E-Mail: "Leider konnten wir für Sie trotz vielzähliger Praxiskontakte keinen Termin vereinbaren." 🤷‍♂️
Edit2 (Di. 29.04.): Hab jetzt mal die Telefon-Hotline angerufen wie in der Absage-Mail angeboten wird. Alter! Stellt sich raus, dass die generell gar keine Termine in der Fachrichtung ausmachen können!
