C-SCAPE (2022), a piece of multiple co-evolving cellular automata, running as a massive projection as part of the ALGORYTHMS group exhibition at Collective, Oslo (August 2023).

Liniendiagramm zur kumulierten Anzahl an Balkonkraftwerken in Deutschland von 2018 bis 03.12.2025. Die Linie verläuft bis 2021 fast waagrecht und steigt ab 2022 zunehmend steil an. Ab 2023 zeigt sich ein starker Zuwachs, besonders deutlich ab 2024. Der aktuelle Höchststand liegt bei 1192237 registrierten Anlagen. Die Kurve deutet auf einen anhaltenden Boom hin.

just looking at my archive of postgresql backups over the past 2 years of my mastodon instance.
In December 2023 just shy of 1 year since spinning it up, the compressed gz file of the database was 600MB.
By Aug 2024 it was 988MB
In April 2025 it was 1500MB
Today it is 1800MB.
That is a 2 user instance. Not small!
