I'm running Fedora Asahi Remix on a MBP M2.
I prefer it to MacOS in many ways: it looks and feels better and fits my needs better.
But Linux support…

I broke up with 1Password a little over 3 years ago.
It was clear to me that I should no longer trust them with the most intimate of my personal data. I was with them from 2008 to 2023 (15 years).
They got a LOT of investment very quickly, and started pushing their hosted service—HARD. I need to have agency over my own credentials data, not trust a service to stay up.
To me, this was the start of them showing us who they really are (and I even tolerated it for a bit).

My favorite record of 2023 still holds up for me three years later. Still play it regularly. Like today.

For some 30 years I've had a Linux server in my home where I kept all my stuff and done all my work. Just shut down its last incarnation, a virtualized Ubuntu machine. It's now replaced with Proxmox running a bunch of small NixOS containers doing specific jobs. And one generic Fedora machine for interactive work I hope to keep mostly stateless. These days daily hackery happens on a desktop Linux box.
