Now it's 15.1 and 17.0.
The rate of increase was very much nonlinear though: from October 2018 to October 2024 (six years) the tier 1 rate only climbed by 27%.
It went up 10.5% in 2024 and 20.7% in 2025 alone.

A nice obituary from December 31, 2024 about my Great Uncle Herman Neufeld (my mom's Uncle).
I never really knew him as I grew up 4000km away... but he had a positive impact on people, especially Jamaican workers, in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
