There is much discussion of the false outputs that generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Grok create. In popular terminology, these have been dubbed AI hallucinations. However, deeming these AI outputs hallucinations is controversial, with many claiming this is a metaphorical misnomer. What’s everybody’s read on the attempt at a second general strike this Friday?
From where I sit, it feels much more like a social media action than the on the 23rd; I don’t see the unions or same kind of organizing infrastructure behind it.
On the other hand, apparently it •is• getting a lot of social media traction in some circles? “All I see posts about,” said one student.
What’s the read from where you sit? Does this one have legs? Or is it a day to keep our powder dry?
