Man, I had a shit week.
Tried to stretch outside my comfort zone in a big way; but failed myself really badly.
Old trauma woke up at a crucial moment, and bit me really hard; and I think the whole thing, instead of being healing, just … doubled everything down.
I’m feeling worthless in a whole new way.
Feeling like I undid, in like one hour, years and years of self-confidence building.

Been out today trying to get my phone battery replaced.
Three phone repair places said they couldn't do it today and would have to order the battery in, and the last made a call and said they'd have a battery this evening if I came back.
So I did come back and they did have the battery. Went to the pub for half an hour while they changed it only to come back and find them apologizing that their heat-plate is apparently broken since yesterday so they can't soften the glue to open the screen.
Annoying how sealed-in batteries are these days. Could change it myself if I had a heat plate to soften the glue and open the screen.
Oh well. They'll call me back when the heat plate is fixed next week.
Given how hot the battery gets now and how hot the weather is, it's a bit surprising the glue isn't softened all on it's own 😆

Heavy sudden rain storms are the only really thing that scares me about climate change; I live far enough in land that I don't need to worry directly about sea level rises, I'm assuming will manage with food crops somehow, but there's fuck all you can do when you suddenly get a torrential rain storm that decides to park itself over your city for an hour at full pelt. Quick tip for those with young kids who want them to learn how to use a watch with an analogue (dial) style interface.
While the likes of Flik Flak make nice kids watches, they are a little on the pricy side.
Potentially better IMHO however are these kids field/pilot style watches from AliExpress. They cost basically nothing [<$5🇺🇸] and the hour hand points to an inner ring of numbered hours, while the minute hand points to an outer ring of numbered minutes. So simple!
