Attempting to pick #comet C/2025 R3 (PANSTARRS) ouf of dawn today in MŸn at 55°N, at 4:13, :33 and :39 CEDT: solar depressions 14.5°, 12 1/3° and 11 3/4°, comet elevations 7 1/3°, 10° and 10 3/4° - so darker sky is more important that higher elevation. Visually the comet was underwhelming in 11x70 binoculars: that's certainly one for (bigger) cameras, not the eye. And the viewing window is closing fast anyway.

1. Use 'kup putraw' to put the kernel patchset on distfiles mirror.
2. Wait an hour for mirrors to sync.
3. Start building new kernels.
4. Rsync kernels from build hosts to the local machine.
5. Use a complex script involving 'kup ls ... | grep' (yes, there is no way to check if a file exists, and most of kup commands don't even feature exit statuses) and `kup putraw ...` to upload the built kernels.
6. Wait an hour for mirrors to sync.
7. Check if all kernels were uploaded correctly.
8. Push new kernels.

Das liegt beides deutlich unter der versprochenen Kapazität (~-13%) - aber ist nicht unerwartet.
Sungrow verspricht bekanntermaßen deutlich mehr, als sie tatsächlich halten.
Interessant ist der Ladungsverlust, der bei <3% liegt.

Another evening of filter refactoring and optimization, a few more nice performance jumps.
I've now done a first pass (remove deprecated method signatures, add explicit input location, add NVTX trace data, do easy GPU optimization if I see an obvious low effort win) on all filters A-F alphabetically plus a few later on that were priorities for one reason or other.

Current summary of all of the GPU acceleration work I've been doing in ngscopeclient since v0.1.1.
Other than the CDR PLL and eye pattern which were high-priority targets that were worth the effort, and the Ethernet which I got nerdsniped on, these are all trivial inner loops of just a few lines that I threw at the GPU without any significant tuning, so there's probably more performance upside.
