Laternenumzug, die schmale Straße ist voller Kinder und Eltern. Es sind bestimmt 500 Personen. Keine Polizei, keine Straßensperrung. Der Umzug muss auf einer Straßenseite laufen, die Autos drängeln sich auf der Gegenseite aneinander vorbei. Die stark befahrene Kreuzung ist auch nicht gesperrt, die Kinder müssen an der Ampel auf Grün warten und laufen in Grüppchen weiter. Ein Rechtsabbieger drängelt sich von links durch den Zug.
Es ist so traurig, das ist doch kein Laternenumzug 😢

The most closely matching thing I can think of is the quote (anonymous?), “Angesagte Revolutionen finden nicht statt.” (which means “Preannounced revolutions are not taking place.”).

Short progress update of refining my Kallitype recipe & workflow:
- Left: a couple of months ago, initial homemade formula, very rusty brown, blotchy and low contrast
- Middle: mid December, double coating, no more staining, better contrast, but not fully cleared emulsion
- Right: last night, pre-wetting plus ammonium dichromate (1 drop) for much better contrast, perfect clearing (without any masking)
