i found these two gems at the record store up the street and, at twelve bucks each, couldn't resist. i listened to these LPs (and dream weaver and forest flower) a ton in high school.

Die Nazis sind ganz offen vorgegangen (Kristallnacht, Flohmarktverkäufe der Wohnungseinrichtung von Juden, Märsche zum Bahnhof bei Tageslicht) damit alle Menschen in Deutschland zu Komplizen und Mitwisserin werden.
Wer heute nicht gegen Merzenz Stadtbild usw protestiert, wird zum Komplizen menschenfeindlicher Politik.

wow, a just-surfaced audience tape of a never-heard 1970 version of "box of rain," played in the album arrangement (lesh on guitar, garcia on piano, etc.), probably 9/18/70 at the fillmore east. now the 2nd of 2 known versions like this. tape details in comments. youtube.com/watch?v=_PkUry4bFGU

60 years ago tonight, the #GratefulDead (& bill graham's) 1st fillmore auditorium gig, at the #sanfrancisco mime troupe’s appeal II, maybe the 1st actual time the dead name was used. not in ads (“formerly the warlocks” was january), no tape.
