Volvo EX40 led the pack, while combustion-only cars dropped to just 21.8%. And it's about to accelerate even more—new government incentives kick in for 2026.

Europe's EV market is experiencing a major shakeup.
Volkswagen Group is surging while the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance sees its share decline. Tesla, BMW, Geely, Stellantis, and Mercedes are all jockeying for position too.
The twist? The top 8 automakers now control less of the market than before—meaning smaller players are gaining ground in the race to electrify.

Good Morning #Canada
Can Canada's new trade deal with China for #ElectricVehicles jumpstart a shrinking market? Will 49K Chinese #EVs force current Canadian auto suppliers to provide more competitive offerings?
Canada was an anomaly in worldwide EV sales as our electric vehicle sales declined while every other major nation saw substantial increases. Even the U.S. had a modest increase in battery electric vehicles despite Trump's attempts to kill them. Canada EV sales dropped by almost 50% due to canceled government rebates, slow expansion of a charging network, increased pricing, and auto manufacturers cutting back production in favour of hybrids and gas engines. And North American manufacturers invested substantial lobbying dollars to roll back zero emission mandates.
While Canadian manufacturers cry foul, auto dealers are cautiously optimistic. They see cheaper vehicles as a good alternative to what's available today.
