Your backup strategy should include chunking your important but perhaps not sensitive data into encrypted blobs and uploading them to a private GitHub repo. At least push your configs there.

The Intel ME Gen 2 file system used variable sized chunks.
TIL this may be aka Content-Defined Chunking.
