The difference between us and MAGA is they rally behind their choice no matter what, while we’re busy policing each other as MAGA works to take over the world and take away the rights of the poor, queer folk, women & minorities… we can have those discussions amongst ourselves but right now we’re fighting against authoritarianism...& they’re flooding…

Finished “Why Fish Don’t Exist” by Lulu Miller, in which the author, dealing with her own demons, looks for reasons why we should persist in a universe of chaos & entropy. Do we matter?
She initially finds relief in the taxonomist David Starr Jordan, who suffered great setbacks, but always continued ever onward. That he was a horrid eugenicist comes out later, in a solid rebuke of his beliefs, undone by the very science he beloved.
