I’d been on IRC of some sort, nearly constantly from ~1992 to 2024, and I learned some things from this documentary.
For example, I knew EFNet was Eris-Free net, but I didn’t know that Eris was a rogue server at Berkeley. Makes sense in hindsight. Always thought it was free as in freedom, not free as in exclusive.
