Great reframing by Malcolm Harris at 52:50 here: When a capitalist says they need more profit to invest in something socially beneficial like housing, that profit is a fee they collect from the public, and a blockage that exists *because* there's a capitalist class that controls the money we need. That's really insightful and I'd never thought of it that way.

Highly-differential spectroscopic studies have revealed that the Sun is deficient in refractory elements relative to solar twins. To investigate the role of giant planets on this signature, we present a high precision abundance analysis of HARPS spectra for 50 F- and G-type stars spanning -0.4<[Fe/H]<+0.5. There are 29 stars in the sample which host planets of masses > 0.01 MJup. We derive abundances for 19 elements, and apply corrections to 14 of them for systematic errors associated with one …

Representing type lattices compactly
The Cinder JIT compiler does some cool stuff with how they represent types so I’m going to share it with you here. The core of it is thinking about types as sets (lattices, even), and picking a compact representation. Compilers will create and manipulate types with abandon, so all operations have to be fast.

entlich 🦆 Freitag! 🙂
Hab ich doch gestern Abend einen Firmenlauf mitgemacht und war nicht letzter?! Nach zwei Kniespiegelungen in letztem und diesem Jahr war ich fast untrainiert mit 43 Minuten auf 5,5 km dabei, wobei ich vorsichtshalber die ersten 3,5 km gewalkt bin. Aber dabei sein ist alles!
Fast 8000 Läufer*innen in Ingolstadt und eine tolle Stimmung bei optimalem Wetter. Blessuren bisher keine :-).

Now it's abundantly obvious that their hysteria about antifa was not due to antifa being in any way a terrorist organization (which it can't be, as it's not even an organization), but due to the fact that they are, indeed, fascists.
Antifa = short for anti-fascist. If you're anti-antifa, it's now absolutely clear you're at the very least pro-fascist.
