People have asked for an explanation. Here goes: Rainbows are centred on the antisolar point, the spot in the sky (usually below the horizon) directly opposite the sun. A full rainbow is a circle with an angular radius of 42°. Every part of a rainbow you can see is 42° from the antisolar point.
